Notification settings for years have remained unchanged. It was possible to control the email notifications choosing whether to receive individual emails or daily email summary and it was possible to control some of the settings from other tabs of settings (see how to turn off notifications for more information.) Facebook has now incorporated all of the controls on the notifications in a single page.
The Notification Settings page is accessible by clicking on the arrow at the top right on the Facebook page - Account Settings ► - ► Notifications. ( direct link ).
Sound notifications
The first thing you notice is the new entry " On Facebook "in the" How to receive notifications. " Although at the time of writing this article, the setting is not yet active, according to rumors, this item should allow you to enable or disable sound notifications. In fact, Facebook seems to be testing a system sound notifications. You can then choose which notifications to activate the sound.
E-mail Notifications
The second item concerns the notification settings for the email. From the first three controls you can choose to receive email notification for each, for important notifications or just for notifications about security and privacy.
Push notifications
For owners of Android smartphones and iPhone / iPod touch / iPad is also a new entry for the settings for Push Notifications. But you can choose the type of push notifications to be received only by the settings of each device ( More ).
SMS notifications
On Facebook you can update a status, reply to a message, comment, and perform some common actions without an internet connection , using SMS. The settings that were present in the "To Phone" have now been incorporated into the voice SMS.
It 'can get an SMS alert when someone comments on our status update or write on our wall, choose which friends "monitoring" and receive a text message every time you update your status.
For sure the new settings page is clearer, is not it?
