Play on up to Windows

You put it all there, but your computer can not keep up with you. Maybe it's time to change, or to optimize it so that it is faster and more easily in the challenges. Are you ready? Here are seven tips coming fromTuneUp , the expert in optimizing the PC to give him an edge.

1. Perform a clean boot - When you start Windows, there are many applications and services that start simultaneously. You can, however, greatly improve the overall performance of cutting off all unnecessary programs that slow your PC and boot the system without the services of third parties. To perform a clean boot, hold down the Windows key on the keyboard and press R . Type, then msconfig and click OK . At this point, select Hide All Microsoft Services tab Services and then choose the option Disable All . This setting will allow you to avoid all the services installed by third-party vendors that are not suitable for games such as, for example, the execution of backup services. A simple reboot should be enough.

2. Disable animations and 3D effects - Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 offer some beautiful animations to minimize and maximize the window menu and fading. However, for a player, this "movement" can interfere with the experience and TuneUp recommended to turn them off. Simply click right-click Computer and select Properties . Animation settings can be found under Advanced > Performance > Settings .

3. Use the newest graphics drivers - Players usually have a nVidia or ATI graphics card. Both manufacturers update and improve their drivers on a monthly basis to improve game performance. Update the drivers with the latest version should ensure an increase in performance and, depending on the game, it might make the whole gaming experience more satisfying.

4. Download the latest patch of the game - games also, like any other software, are never completely finished when released. The development team, after the stock reaches the shelves, is still committed to correct errors and to work on improving the performance of his creation. For this reason, it is good that users download the latest patch the games. Depending on the resolution at which games and the machine you use, you will earn a couple of frames per second. It's not much, but it could make a difference for a gaming experience more fluid.

5. Optimizes hard drive - When using the computer, the data is written to or erased from the hard disk by creating "fragments" and portions that could spread to the entire disk, seriously compromising the performance of the process of reading and writing. Since games usually occupy several gigabytes, it is essential that all of these files can be read continuously. What is the obvious solution? Defragment your hard disk! Find the tool to defragment the disk from Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools .

6.Optimize your PC - Software for PC Optimization is the easiest way to improve the performance of your PC for gaming. The Turbo Mode TuneUp Utilities , for example, temporarily disable services that are not needed, such as digital cameras or scanners, you do not use while you play. The software for PC optimization, turning off background tasks, correcting errors and optimizing critical settings of Windows, can significantly boost your gaming experience, and represent the difference between using a game slow and unreliable or exceed ' last record score.

7. Add RAM - More memory and more games you can load, resulting in less disk access. If you play with one of the newer games, you should consider an upgrade to your PC or notebook to 4 GB or more of RAM.
There are many tools which help to optimize the operation of your PC and one of them is TuneUp Utilities 2012 . The software is available for download at www.tune-up.it .
