All photos downloaded from Facebook have similar names and details, full of numbers with many digits you can use to identify where you downloaded the photos. So if you have downloaded a photo ('ve found a file on the internet that you seem to be downloaded from Facebook) and do not remember who or which page had published with this trick we can trace the author of the photo.
Understand the page or the user who posted a photo
When you download a photo on a Facebook page or a profile (see image), the system generates a JPG file with a particular name. For example, here is the name of a photo downloaded from our website:
293709_10151184366563080_349459919_n.jpg
And here is the URL of the original picture on the Facebook servers:
The name is composed of 3 different sets of numbers, each of which represents an ID.
- The first number (293 709) is a random number generated by Facebook that we do not care.
- The second number ( 10151184366563080 ) is the ID of the photo.
- The third number (349459919) is another random number that does not concern us.
What is of interest, therefore, only the middle number, the ID photo. How to find the photos to Facebook from this ID? Easy: just visit facebook.com / ID to go directly to the photo and then figure out the page that has published the album, the release date and any other information sought. In our case
